Cass Operator provides Kubernetes-backed API services for the management of Apache Cassandra and DataStax Enterprise datacenters and clusters. Note this operator only operates on resources within the scope of a single, local, Kubernetes cluster. Users looking to deploy and manage multi-region clusters should leverage the K8ssandra Operator⁠.

Cass Operator is part of K8ssandra⁠. K8ssandra⁠ is a collection of cloud-native projects for running Apache Cassandra on Kubernetes. It provides Apache Cassandra, anti-entropy repair services, hooks for observability and backup / restore functionality via Kubernete API objects.

⁠Running

Cass Operator requires Kubernetes API services to run and is not intended to run standalone. To run Cass Operator in your Kubernetes cluster check out our Helm or Kustomize docs.
